Why do gun control people want to make it harder for those with licenses to have guns?
The majority of crime by guns is committed by those who have obtained their guns illegally. Why do people like Obama,just for one example, want to make it harder for citizens to get guns and make them pay more? I agree with the thorough background checks,but why always worry about making it even harder instead of where the actual criminals are getting their guns? I’d like to hear others opinions and maybe learn more if I am misinformed?

Obama blames the guns for the problems instead of the PEOPLE who pull the trigger. Do you not want a gun to protect yourself and those you love? It would make it a lot easier for the government to come into your home and do whatever they wanted just like in other countries. That is why this guarantee was written into the Constitution…to protect the people from an out of control government!
most crimes are done by criminals who get their guns illegally. but most gun accidents and crimes of passion are done by people who had quick access to a gun. it’s not much to ask people who want to legally buy a gun to take a class so they know how to protect their family, and have time to think so if they were planning to do something stupid, now they won’t ruin their lives.

I agree about the attack weapons…no one but the military and law enforcement officers need those. The school shootings were outrageous. My question is how did those kids get a hold of those weapons? Their parents need to be investigated.

They also argue that if law-abiding citizens have guns, they are safer from criminals, bringing crime rates down.
The Brady Center, on the other hand, argues that the Second Amendment of the U.S.Constitution does not guarantee individuals the right to own and carry guns. Further, they argue that when more people have guns, deaths and injuries from guns increase.
It is up to the rest of us to determine which positions are true. We may not agree with the conclusions of either group, but we need to know whether the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right for individuals to own and carry guns. We also need to know whether more guns mean more deaths and injuries.
It has nothing to do with fighting crime and everything to do with controlling the masses. Obama has already started using video games to get support from children. The 2 times this was done in the 20th century (using children for political purpose) on a large scale was Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.
Perhaps Obama and his gun control pals have purchased stock in the company that makes crime tape? We’ll need more of it to mark off the crime scenes of innocent people being murdered because Obama and his ilk want law abiding citizens disarmed and made easier victims for criminals.

The right to own guns is a Constitutional right, basically set up to protect you from a government that decides to take what you have. And by that, I mean your freedom, and your rights. The gun grabbers want to take your guns, so you cannot resist when they are in charge. That is why you should own an AK-47.
Gun control people have never experienced being robbed, had a loved one shot in their home or been confronted by a criminal.

If AK-47′s are outlawed it will be only the first step in the process of removing all guns from the ownership of all American citizens. Criminals do not obey the laws. They would still have all kinds of guns after the law abiding citizens were relieved of their guns. Do the drug cartels in Mexico have guns ? Why do they, since their is gun control in Mexico ? Why would anyone think that it would be any different in the United States ?

Obama and friends advocate the idea that because of violence in places like Chicago and Detroit, places that DON’T have all that violence should adopt the same laws as Chicago and Detroit. That’s no joke. That is a 100% accurate representation of the “gun-control” faction’s agenda. An example is the Virginia Tech shooting, like every single other, in a “no guns allowed” zone. Not one liberal has suggested V.T. should make any changes to their policies, and they haven’t.
